As comedies go, I think this might be a good one you will see this year.
Steve Carell plays Cal, a husband who split from her boyfriend high school, played by Julianne Moore, after he was deceived. Hanging out in bars every single night he saw a man woman played by Ryan Gosling managed to take a number of women, while he says out loud to anyone who would listen, 'my wife cheated on me with xxxx. "
Meanwhile, his teenage son who has a crush on his babysitter, babysitter while Cal appraiser. We have 4 romantic triangle between the main character, which was developed to great comic effect.
Thus, the character of Ryan Gosling who took him under his wing, as a man his wings, and showed him how to score with women, which leads to the interesting twists and turns.
There are some parts of this movie that made me cringe, one is patheticness of the character played by Steve Carell. Crush of teenagers makes me cringe a bit, especially with things does not make sense of this child do to get his attention.
In fairness this is more than offset by some scenes of high quality and interaction, especially the scenes with Marisa Tomei, who I thought was brilliant, especially when emotions boils boils at parent teacher conferences.
Dirty Dancing routine between Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone just movie magic, and one of the best scenes I've seen all year, two actors quality, chemistry, everything, perfect.
I have a sneaking suspicion that Ryan Gosling may be one of the best actors on the planet. You might know him from The Notebook, perennial top 100 leading rental dvd rental site. He has studously avoid mainstream and art house indie films do. Watching his performance in Blue Valentine with Michelle Williams assured me of his greatness, with a few reminders of a young DeNiro, without psychotic tone, or maybe even Sean Penn, the actor's most respected among his peers.
Evidence may not be out there again, and I am very happy to see him to see him in a mainstream movie. I hope that he will continue to make movies and critically acclaimed film also looks more broadly, and that he would get a second confession, and finally the award he deserved.
Emma Stone, what can you say, he is the best of the young actress who has appeared during the last two years, circulating in a easy, and now the lead in aid, which he may get an Oscar nom.
