The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part I

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 1 provides a strong fanatical fan base that has catapulted the young adult novel series and subsequent film adaptation of the worldwide phenomenon that it became, but alienate a broader audience in the absence of real action. Similar to the tone of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1, the first film of the conclusion of Twilight two parts by weight of the romance, love, and turbulence but light on the terrible fight scenes and battles. This movie does not waste time to get the goods and is open to the much-hyped Bella and Edward's wedding scene. It works - the oath is efficient and franchise director Bill Condon first (Dreamgirls) to move the party along with a fast and funny with scenes of both edited and toast some surprisingly moving moments between Bella and her father, prominent cast Billy Burke. Honeymoon play as soft-focus a little weird that made for TV movie, with many long moments spent staring at the mirror and love scenes are some who feel at once too intimate and completely without passion. It's a relief when Bella retches at the bite of chicken he cooked his own and quickly concluded she was pregnant with potentially vicious. From happiness to horror, the Cullens return to Forks, where Bella spent the second half of the film declined and Edward and Jacob are aligned in anger and frustration over the decision. Throw in some over-the-top scenes with Jacob and his pack - including a bizarre confrontation in which the wolves communicate in their dogs by having a passionate verbal fights in their minds (a plot point that works much better in print, it is portrayed in the film through aggressive voice-over) - and the film overshoots the intensity and go directly to the ridiculous. Nativity scene is terrible, but not horrible like the book, and in the end, Bella has of course survived, though much changed. The final scene features Michael Sheen as campy fun Aro Volturi leader and make clear that the action and fun in Breaking Dawn, Part 1 ready for launch. Fans just have to wait until Part 2 to get it. - Kira Canny
